TV Format Fund launched only a year ago by entrepreneur Alon Dolev and Rubicon Business Group (Amir Bramly), is now establishing a representative partnership in Finland. The company representing TV Format Fund in Finland is Profict Partners, which is leading the Finnish government’s funding programs for business initiatives in various fields. Profict will introduce the Fund to production companies, local creative artists, broadcast franchisees and distribution companies in order to identify television formats and programs for investment in various stages. In addition, the Fund itself will provide exposure for Israeli formats in which it is investing, seeking to leverage them in the television industry in Finland. The goal of the collaboration is to identify investment opportunities in television content in Finland – formats and Finnish productions, as well as Israeli original formats, with joint funding by the Fund and the Finnish government or private Finnish entities.
Alon Dolev, CEO TV Format Fund: “I welcome our partnership with Profict Partners in Finland and am excited about the journey we are embarking on together. A team from the Fund will travel to Finland in the coming months to learn and meet the key players in the television industry there and to check investment opportunities. For us, the world is our market, and I’m thrilled about our unique opportunity to establish connections with the television industry in Finland. This strategic partnership offers opportunities to everyone involved: the government in Finland is provided grants and loans at very comfortable terms for developing innovations, growth and internationalization of the media industry. Secondly, the Scandinavian television industry offers great promise – it has already produced series and dramas in recent years that are also succeeding in Hollywood; it is a dynamic industry that is stirring international interest and curiosity. In addition, the Finnish market constitutes an excellent platform for Israeli formats. We are continuing to invest in Israeli television formats and programs, and leveraging them in the international market, now with an emphasis on significantly opening doors for Israeli formats in Finland. "
"We are very excited to announce this cooperative agreement with TV Format Fund", says Jarmo Kalliola, the founding partner of Profict Partners ltd. "We see this as a great opportunity for the Finnish television industry. TV Format Funds strong expertise and extensive international network will help Finnish format companies create success in global markets. We believe that the TV format industry has the same potential as the gaming business to become a significant growth sector and create new success stories in Finland. This cooperation is a great addition to our range of services that provides growth-stage companies with internationalization and financial services."
TV Format Fund is the first financial group in Israel and in the world that invests resources in creative artists, distribution companies, producers and broadcasting entities whose products are aimed, first and foremost, at the international market. The Fund enables them to focus on the creative process instead of the operational and mental effort involved in looking for budget sources. Since its inception last year, it has participated in the MIP exhibition in Cannes, presented several new formats, sold a number of options and is engaged in additional development and sales processes.
